I’m not sure when my baby will arrive, how do I Pick a session date?

Newborn sessions are given a tentative booking date near your due date as a placeholder. Once your little one arrives, you or your partner will send me a quick email/text and we can either keep the original date or adjust as needed. My goal is to keep newborn photography as stress free as possible - it’s no problem at all to bend to your little one’s needs!

How far in advance can I book my wedding?

I find most of my couples book in 6-12 months in advance of their wedding date. But, don’t let this stop you from getting in touch. I love last minute weddings as much as those that are in the distance!

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, e-transfer or credit card.

When do I pay for the session?

A date reservation fee is due when you sign your contract. The remainder of your session fee is due on your session date. You’ll receive automatic reminders for these payments via email.

Are you a part-time photographer?

Yes, I am. I’m a full-time forensic specialist during the week and a professional photographer on weekends. I dreamed of being a photographer from a young age and have been doing it for two decades now!

Are you a parent?

Yes! I have a fun, independent and creative daughter and an active son who is full of personality. They’re 8 and 3 years old. My favourite people!

What kind of camera do you have?

I’m a firm believer that it isn’t the just the camera that takes the photograph. But, great gear does help my images shine that much more. I shoot with professional quality Canon gear and always have a backup camera and multiple lenses on hand.

But seriously, what camera do you use?

Since you really want to know… I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark IV (it’s a full frame DSLR). My backup camera is a Canon 5D Mark II.

What cities to you travel to?

I live in Burnaby, BC and photograph in Vancouver and the surrounding Lower Mainland. I can be convinced to go further! Try me.

What should I wear?

I always say wear something you feel comfortable in! This goes for the kids too. If you aren’t comfortable it usually shows in your photos. Avoid wearing busy patterns and large logos that distract from you photos.

What happens if it rains?

Rain is such a constant in this area and such a drag on session days. I monitor the weather closely, if heavy rain is in the forecast, we’ll re-book for another day.

I live in a small space, will that work for an at-home session?

Yes! I’m used to shooting (and living) in small spaces. We’ll work in the rooms with with most natural light. Don’t stress about your place!

When do I get my photos?

Digital images for family and newborn sessions are delivered 11 business days after your session.

How are my images delivered?

Your images are delivered via a password protected online gallery. You can share your gallery with friends and family as well.

How do I download my images?

Images are downloaded from your online gallery. You will be given a unique download code when your images are delivered. It’s easy, I promise!

Do the images have a watermark?

No, I don’t watermark any of my images.

How do I order prints or enlargements?

You are free to order prints and enlargements at the photo lab of your choosing. For convenience, you can also order through my online store.
